Ipsy - September 2014

The box that started my blog if finally here, no pressure Ipsy! I finally got off this waiting list and got to received the September box.

Every month Ipsy packs everything into a different make up bag design. I really like this one and the studs on it are pretty cool.

Everything I got in my bag is right here.

Don't mind my finger in this picture I couldn't get it to not roll off my table. Here we have a deep conditioning mask from Briogeo, another perfect product for fall. If you live in Canada you know it gets really dry for then next few month. By few I mean 7 month, so my skin can use a much conditioning as it can get.

This is a toner, serum and moisturizer in one, yup my hair will love this.

This is just a basic eye liner in a brown colour

This is a tinted lip gloss and mine is "Cailyn", see below for my swatch.

Such a pretty fall colour! I really like it.

On a side note I have a picture box i'm going to start using next week when I get home from work.

Verdict: No complaints for my first Ipsy box!

Luxe Box - September 2014

Today I have the fall Luxe box for you guys.

Love how this box was wrapped, and everything came in this really nice bag with a draw sting at the top.

These are all the items I got in the box, I'll break them down for you.

First up we have a universal blush by So Susan. We all know I'm a nerd so it shouldn't surprise you I really like the design of the box it came in.
Next up we have a fan brush, I don't own a fan brush so I wasn't really sure how to use it but the information card I got with my box says it's designed to dust, wipe and redistribute powder.
Now we have a LVX nail polish, this colour is caviar and its hard to tell but it has gold flecks in it. Can't wait to see Caitlin swatch it.
Next we have a thermal protective spray by phyto paris, this is a much needed product for anyone who uses a curling iron or straightener on their hair.
This is a rapid 4-7 day tan mousse by Vita Liberata. Self tanners kind of scare me, I've tried a Victoria secret one last summer and actually really liked it. The downside to self tanners is once it sets you can see exactly where you missed and its pretty much impossible to fix.

Next we have a facial scrub by Vasanti. It says this product mimics the effects of microdermabrasion for a clean, bright and smooth complexion. Perfect product for the upcoming seasons.

Lastly we have a burt's bee's lip gloss in "ruby moon". I love burt's bee's lip chap but haven't tried ay of their lip glosses.

Here is the swatch for it, such a nice fall colour.
Verdict - Two thumps up, I really enjoyed this box and like to see a wide variety of products.

Top Box - September 2014

Hey guys so I got my Top Box this week and I'm pretty excited for it. Its only $10 dollars a month and since I was originally on a waitlist to get this box I'm glad its finally here.

I'm a nerd and I love the packaging this comes in.

So everything comes in a bag with a description card of each project. I hide them from you guys on purpose :)

First up we have a mascara from benefit, I actually tried this mascara a few days a go and really like it. Like I've said before I have yet to find a mascara I love and this one wasn't bad at all.

This is the wand, it isn't as bushy as other wands but the application was great.

Next up we have a visionaire product from lacome. This is an advanced multi correcting cream and I gave it to my mom to try because I feel like I don't really have wrinkles quite yet.

Up next we gave a purifying foaming gel, I don't have horrible skin but I don't have great skin and am always looking to try new products.

Last but not least we have pur-lisse moisturizer. So if you've read some of my previous blogs you would know I've already received this product not once but twice in the last month. I have tried it and I do like it but I got the full size product from FabFitFun. A girl only needs so much moisturizer, so again I gave this one to my mom.

Verdict - Meh, for $10 dollars I really can't complain but the fact that I won't use 2/4 products I received kinds stinks. Oh well I made my mom happy.

Petit Vour - September 2014

I have another beauty box for you guys, this one is a monthly subscription called Petit Vour.

Like most boxes this came with the description card with it, that's what you can see on top.
First up we have a coconut body butter from Rosemire Organics.
Next we have a beauty mask, its suppose to give you a "major glow", I'll try it out for you guys.
Then we have a Harvey Prince perfume called Journey. Now I'm not a big perfume wearer, but this perfume does smell really good.
Next we have an eyeliner by bwc (Beauty Without Cruelty), I've never heard of this brand before but I love the name.

Lastly we have a lip butter, mine is tangerine flavoured. It says to exfoliate your lips one a week with a toothbrush, interesting I've never exfoliated my lips before.
What do I think of this box... well I don't love it but I don't hate it, but for a beauty box I definitely have other favorites.

Bark Box - September 2014

Its bark box time! My box came really fast this month, usually I wouldn't have gotten it by now.

This months theme is "cheers of the crowd".

First up we have a "Barkeley" banner, everyone's favourite team.

And of course you can't cheer for your favourite team with out some pom poms.

Treat #1

Treat # 2

Treat # 3

This is my puppy Apollo, I always make him pose with his box.

Apollo being a great cheerleader!

Julep - September 2014

Julep is the first subscription box I ever signed up for, and last month they forgot one of my nail polishes. This month however no mistakes were made and I even added an extra product.

Julep has little cards that come with every box, and I always put them on my fridge because they are so awesome. This month says "creativity takes courage"

First up is a lip primer, and is perfect for my next item. I've never tried a lip primer out so I'm excited to try this out.

This is a blush pout lip crayon, see below for my swatch.

These are the add on products I got, two lip glosses. Julep lip glosses are one of my favourite lip glosses that I have.

Here is my lip crayon swatch, such a pretty colour!

So after note.... my primer doesn't work :( it has a clicker on the bottom and I kept clicking and nothing happened. I'll be contacting Julep and I'll let you know what happens.

After after note - got the primer to work! You just have to click it A LOT!

Little LIFE Box - September 2014

I really wanted to try Little LIFE  Box because its a Canada box and I am a Canadian girl. Its a monthly box and cost $19.99.

I love that they have the name and logo right on the box, not many subscription boxes do that.

The box was wrapped in such pretty tissue paper, ya I know I'm a nerd. The card that is sitting on top just says focus, plain and simple. I love it and its now on my fridge.

This boxes theme is health, so all items in this box are healthy items. Let me break them all down for you.

First up we have two Biscotti's, I personally love biscotti's with my coffee and am excited to try these both out.

Next up we have chocolate covered cocoa beans, you can't go wrong with chocolate in my books.

I love coconut and all coconut things so these should be delicious.

This is not a food item, here we have a foaming facial cleanser. I've yet to find a face cleanser that I love, so maybe this one will be it.

Next we have a lotion for dry and cracked skin, just in time for the cold winter months coming up. My skin gets so dry in the winter its the worst.

Echinacea is a herbal remedy used to fight colds, I remember my grandma making me takes these all the time when I was little and sick.

I'm happy to see more and more gluten free products out these days.

This is a 1 minute microwavable meal, this is a spicy flavour and I can't do spicy things so I'll have to pass this on to someone else to try.

Last but not least we have a total body tea detox, I've tried a few detox's in my life and I will definitely try this one out and let you know what I think.

That's a wrap!
